Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has paid a visit Ondo State where he sat down to have a meal with the pupils of Alagbaka Primary School, Akure.
A tweet by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, says Osinbajo’s visit is meant to assess the Homegrown School Feeding programme of the Federal Government.
Also with the vice president during the visit at the school was Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The Vice President joined pupils of Primary 3B during the English Language lesson and when it was time for lunch, Osinbajo and Akeredolu relocated to Primary 3A, where they both shared the meal with the pupils.
Osinbajo said: “After teaching, naturally it is lunch time.
“The kids and I are eating lunch prepared by the @NHGSFP (Homegrown School Feeding programme) cooks in Ondo.
“I must confess the meal is tasty.”
However, from the video, the vice president was seen eating only a finger of the banana placed beside the plate of beans.
This has raised a serious suspicion that he did not taste the food because he wasn't seen eating the food at any point in the video.
He looked around after he had finished the banana with the plate of beans untouched.
Does it mean that the Vice President didn't find the food appealing enough to have had a taste of it? Or could it be that whoever was behind the camera just did a selective recording of the event?
